In marble and other stone. Subject matter includes human and animal figures and groups of figures in the round. These range from approximately 10 cm. to 1 m. in height. The style may be naturalistic, as in the Classical Period, highly stylized, as in the Bronze Age culture of the Cyclades, or somewhere in between. Approximate date: 20,000 B.C. to 15th century A.D.
