Size: Usually from 3 x 3 cm to 20 x 30 cm. Some can be larger.

Date: Early Bronze Age (c. 3000-2000 BC) through Achaemenid Persian (539-331 BC)

Covered with cuneiform characters, they are usually unbaked and must be handled with extreme care. Shapes range from very small rounded disk forms (shown on left), to small square and rectangular pillow-shaped forms (shown in center), to larger rectangular tablets (shown on right).
